This policy explains what personal data we collect through buscaro.pk, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. "BusCaro", "we" and "us" mean the operator of this website. "You" means the person using it.
Who we are
BusCaro is a mobility company that provides daily commute services to organisations in Pakistan. This website describes those services, publishes articles and lets organisations send us an enquiry.
Data we collect
Data you give us
- Enquiry details. When you send the contact form: your name, contact number, email address, organisation, city of service and anything you write in the message.
- Account details. When you create an account: a username, your email address and a password. The password is stored only as a salted hash; we cannot read it.
Data collected automatically
- Technical data. The IP address a request comes from and the browser type, kept in server logs and in the record of your login sessions.
- Security data. Failed login attempts, recorded so that repeated guessing can be blocked.
We do not run third-party advertising or analytics scripts on this website, and no fonts, scripts or images are loaded from other companies' servers.
Cookies
- Session cookie. One cookie keeps you logged in. It is essential to the account feature and is removed when you log out.
- Theme preference. Your choice of light or dark mode is saved in your browser's local storage.
No cookie is used for advertising or for tracking you across other websites.

When we share data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only:

How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to respond and to maintain a record of the conversation. Account data is kept while the account exists. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.
Where data is processed
The website runs on a global cloud network, so your data may be processed on servers outside Pakistan. We take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled securely wherever it is processed.
Security
Passwords are hashed, login tokens are stored only as hashes, sessions use secure cookies and every form submission is checked for its origin. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You can change your username, email address and password from your account page at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account and your enquiry history.
- You can ask what data we hold about you and ask us to correct it.

Children
This website is intended for organisations and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
